The SAT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. The SAT is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test created and administered by the College Board. The purpose of the SAT is to measure a high school student's readiness for college, and provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants. It features four sections. Reading, Writing, Math (no calculator), and Math. The SAT also has subject specific tests.

I started at Blitz the summer after my sophomore year to prepare for my first SAT. Choosing Blitz was one of the best decisions I made throughout high school. The program is clear and concise. Unlike other places that have you hours of prep work at home, Blitz goes over concepts thoroughly in class so only the necessary work needs to be done out of class. Mr. Beck is truly invested in his students and wants them to succeed. He continues to support all his students even after they take their official course. After I took the SAT, I was always welcome to come back and receive help with the SAT again or preparing for the ACT. Without Mr. Beck and Blitz Tutoring, I would never have been able to achieve the scores I did and I would not be able to get in to the colleges I did.

When other test prep organizations and classes did not work, Mr. Beck offered me a solution to my problem. I learned more information in my first couple weeks at Blitz than I learned at other locations in months. Mr. Beck is an incredible tutor and is very engaging while teaching, making the class and enjoyable experience. From just a couple weeks of test prep with Mr. Beck at Blitz my score went up about 300 points. Without the guidance of Mr. Beck and the whole Blitz organization I don’t think I would have been able to get a good enough SAT score in order to get into my dream school.

Unless you have a 1600 SAT (36 ACT) right now, Blitz will improve your score. They can teach anyone with any amount of prior knowledge in math or reading, no matter how little, as well as help those already scoring high. They offer large classes that work brilliantly for most and private tutoring sessions for people on either end of the bell curve. The Blitz team teaches you exactly how to nail the test. From fundamentals to timing to even specific question types, Blitz teaches everything about the SAT (or ACT) from top to bottom. And all of this is important because it opens doors. Partly due to my SAT score (which I thank Blitz for), I was offered a full tuition scholarship at the university I ultimately chose to attend. Blitz tutoring saved me roughly the cost of a Lamborghini. I can never say enough praise for that. To Mr. Beck and the rest of the team at Blitz, thank you!

Through the courses at blitz I was able to raise both my SAT and ACT score tremendously, which was obviously my main goal. However, the class goes beyond just accomplishing this. Mr. Beck’s teaching style makes the class environment both laid back and fun while still making sure the students get all their work done. He’s extremely flexible and makes sure every student gets the attention they need. Going to the class never felt like a burden, and at the end of the day I still saw the results I wanted!
